Toby's excitement at being the "Special Attraction" in the seaside parade soon turns to disappointment. Back at the yard, Percy is needed to sort out some trucks and an obstinate barge called Bulstrode. Later that evening, Percy and Toby decide that they are both "Special Attractions" anyway.

When Thomas accidentally ruins the billboard, a new photograph is ordered but Thomas tries to keep the news from Diesel which causes havoc across the island.

STG Steady Eddie

As one of the steadiest engines on Sodor, Edward is chosen to deliver a fragile new waterwheel to the waterworks. However, he decides to show off and, instead of taking the smooth express line, takes a bumpier track. The ropes snap and the wheel finds itself rolling towards the smelters yard. Can Edward get there in time to save it from being melted?!

STG Rosie's Funfair Special

The funfair has arrived on Sodor and Rosie hopes to deliver it. The Fat Controller asks Emily instead, with Rosie as her back engine. Disappointed, Rosie decides that she can ‘help’ Emily by taking the funfair alone. Not realising Emily is already attached to the funfair train, Rosie struggles. A coupling snaps and she chuffs off with only half the special, leaving trucks all over the tracks causing confusion and delay!

STG Mountain Marvel

Miss Marvel, the famous storyteller, is visiting the Hills and Peter Sam is very excited to hear her story of Proteus the mystical engine. After taking an old short cut Peter Sam crashes into an old statue of Proteus that is standing forgotten on an old rusty flatbed. Boiling with excitement Peter Sam decides he could make a star entrance!

STG Henry Gets It Wrong

When the Sodor Wishing Tree is damaged in a storm, Henry fears that woodsmen are coming to chop it down. He blocks all tracks leading to the tree. Harold informs Henry that the woodsmen are there to save the tree, but if they can’t get to the tree it will have to be chopped down after all. Henry realises that he was very wrong indeed.

STG Heave Ho Thomas

When a big, brash engine called Hank comes to Sodor, it is Thomas’s job to show him round the island. Thomas does not warm to Hank and when he tries to help Thomas with his important jobs, Thomas refuses to let him. Overloaded Thomas soon cracks a cylinder and needs help. Luckily Hank is on hand and Thomas realises that Hank was only trying to help.

STG Toby's Special Surprise

Toby is determined to find something special so that Sir Topham Hatt will think that he is special too. He thinks he sees a bird in a tree, but it is an old boot. A treasure chest turns out to be a truck full of tin cans. Soon Toby runs out of coal. Feeling very silly, he asks his workman to bang on some old metal for help. When help arrives Sir Topham Hatt discovers the old metal is a valuable picture - Toby did find something special after all!

STG Excellent Emily

Emily is declared “excellent” by the Fat Controller and it goes straight to her head. When she is given an important job to do, she comes across a series of tricky situations. Her friends try to advise her against tackling them but “Excellent Emily” thinks she knows best with disastrous results.

STG The Party Surprise

Mr Percival is holding a special winter party at his house. Freddie tries to reorganise everything down at the wharf so that his friend Colin the crane can be there too. The confusion means that the party nearly doesn’t happen and Freddie has to confess all to Mr Percival and put everything right. Eventually everybody has a lovely party at the wharf… especially Colin!

STG Saved You

When a Sodor fireman is to be presented with a medal for bravery, Thomas decides to be a hero too. He tries to prove himself but causes havoc and disaster wherever he goes. When everything is put right, Thomas puffs sadly along and meets Bertie the bus stuck in mud with all the children. Thomas takes the children for Bertie and is very happy when they call him their hero!

STG Duncan & the Hot Air Balloon

It’s the Percival twin’s birthday and Mr Percival has got them a ride on a Hot Air Balloon as a treat. Duncan is upset as he already has his birthday flag on his cab ready to take them for a birthday ride. When Duncan is asked to collect the balloon, he purposefully goes over some bumps until the balloon floats off and rips a big hole in its side.

STG James Works It Out

It is winter on the Island of Sodor. James thinks he knows best, so when Hector the heavy truck suggests checking the weather before they leave the yard James does not listen. After taking a wrong turn in the snow; they get trapped behind a snow drift. James realises he should have been listening to Hector all along and asks him what he thinks they should do.

STG Tram Trouble

It is the first Great Waterton festival and Toby is to lead the parade alongside a new steam tram named Flora. Thomas is worried that Toby will be upset about sharing the lead and sets about keeping Flora away from the festival. When Toby finally meets Flora he is very happy as he was scared of leading the parade on his own!

STG Don't Go Back

Thomas is a busy engine, he thinks he can shunt backwards and forwards faster than any other engine, so when Diesel challenges him to race backwards around Sodor Thomas is sure he can win! Not being able to see where they are going the two engines cause havoc all over the quarry.

STG Gordon Takes a Shortcut

Gordon is a very proud engine and thinks he knows the Sodor railway better than any other engine, but when he takes a short cut to get to the docks first, he gets lost and won’t ask for directions from the other engines.

STG The Man in the Hills

It is Mr Percival’s birthday party. Sir Handel is going to tell a Man in the Hills story because they are his favourite. Thomas decides to go in search of the Man in the Hills for Mr Percival but instead mistakenly finds the dairyman and the miller and holds up the preparations of the party. Will he be able to put everything right in time for the party?

STG Thomas Puts the Brakes On

Thomas has been given the job of delivering special blocks for the rebuild of the Sodor River Bridge. When his brakes start to fail his friends offer to help but he is too proud to accept! Thomas goes too fast and starts to drop the blocks. When Thomas realises he feels very silly and, with the help of his friends, retraces his tracks to find the missing blocks.

STG Percy & the Bandstand

Percy is instructed by the Fat Controller to take Lady Hatt to her surprise party at a new bandstand. However, when Percy collects her she tells him where she wants to go. Not wanting to make Lady Hatt cross, Percy takes her where she asks. Percy is soon running late and must pluck up the courage to take Lady Hatt to the bandstand for her party – even if it makes her cross.

STG Push Me Pull You

The Puppet Show has arrived on Sodor and Skarloey excitedly asks the Fat Controller if he can pull the special. The trucks are very heavy but instead of accepting Rheneas’ offer of help, Skarloey challenges him to a tug of war with the trucks. As they pull and tug a coupling snaps and Skarloey races proudly causing havoc as he goes!

STG Best Friends

Thomas and Percy are best friends. When Thomas is given the job of pulling a brass band - a job that he knows Percy is desperate to do - he decides to keep the news from him. Thomas spends the day avoiding Percy. When Percy learns the truth he is disappointed. Thomas feels terrible for not telling his best friend and works out a plan for Percy to pull the band after all.
